FBI Arrests Nigerian ‘Tech Queen’ in Alleged Multimillion-Dollar Fraud Scheme

One of the trending stories making the rounds right now is the arrest of a Nigerian woman popularly referred to as the “Tech Queen” — Sapphire Egemasi. Honestly, I don't know who gave her that title or where it came from, but that’s the name that’s being used across the media.
According to reports, she has been arrested by the FBI in connection with a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme that allegedly began in 2021. After years of moving under the radar, she was finally caught.
What makes this even more controversial is the life she lived publicly. Her social media pages tell the story of a globe-trotter — always on the move, always flaunting luxury, traveling to different parts of the world, and living like a multimillionaire.

And it begs the question: why do people who commit fraud often feel the need to show it off? Why broadcast stolen wealth like it’s some kind of achievement? Again, I’m not supporting fraud — not at all — but it’s baffling how many fall into this pattern of loud living.
Sadly, reports say she may be facing up to 20 years in prison. That’s a heavy price to pay, and it’s a reminder that in the long run, crime really doesn’t pay. No matter how flashy it looks at first, the consequences eventually catch up.
Let this be a lesson — not just to others involved in similar schemes, but to all of us watching from the sidelines. Real success doesn't need shortcuts.
